Treasury

Grameen Foundation

London School of Economics
Why are you here?
would like to advocate the concept of MFI and microcredit in Asia, through increasing awareness, to help reduce poverty rates and to help in sustainable development work in neighbouring countries. I would like to understand how these organisations (MFIs) function and be part of this initiative. I strongly believe in helping by teaching and not just purely by handing out material aid. Hopefully this idea can be even more active in the wealthier countries, particularly in Asia, where income and standards of living disparity is very wide.
What are you currently working on?
Habitat for Humanity (homebuilds), grameen - bankers without borders (in process of interview), World Vision (Child Sponsor)

Hi Yeoh,

I am interested to hear how your experience with Bankers without Boarders is going? Having just returned from Colombia where I met with Grameen Foundation, I am now doing reconnaissance on the program and trying to understand how students/young professionals might play an important role in supporting microfinance through this program. How did you hear about it? How are you hoping to contribute?

Thanks,
Haley

p.s. Please send any feedback you have on the forum. This is a work in progress, so we're open to constructive criticism.
