I am glad to see UVA represented here. Do you guys work with a lot of MFIs in the Social Enterprise Associates? (Is that the same as SEED - Student Entrepreneurs for Economic Development?) I'd love to hear more about what you guys do on campus.

I just wanted to say hi and encourage you to make a group for students from UVA to join. It can help you organize campus activities, etc. Let us know if there is anyway we can help you guys out more.
Also, make sure to check out the new online micro finance simulcast being offered by a professor at Berkeley. It is featured on the front page. 6 weeks long, no mandatory homework, and some awesome speakers from the field. Spread the word!

To create a place where students can dialogue about the microfinance industry, to organize events, and to raise awareness and funds.
I teach a graduate course in microfinance and am a strong believer in continuous, self-education. One member of this site asked if I could put together a tutorial. I thought I'd invite others who wish to follow the same path and learn together.
