Hi Geroge,
Just building on my friend Narendran's view, among the countries, India is the most favored nation for investment in microfinance. Of the total investment by PE players during 2008-09 fiscal, 80 % of that has gone to MFIs. Imagine the potential space for investment in Indian micro finance sector. Have been heading a India's leading HOusing company's micro finance portfolio for one the Indian states. As such have got chances to interact with more than 30 MFIs across country. We are looking for existing MFIs that needed capital injection and are willing to exchange that for equity in the MFI.
Unfortunately, we can not explore new MFI with no track record.
If you know of anyone and you can send us its executive summary we will be glad to take a look.
Thanks
Will send the details shoertly.

POn
