The First Step of my Microfinance Journey.

I am a Kenyan student, pursuing an undergrad Bachelor of Commerce double major in Microfinance and Business Administration at Strathmore University.

I have always had that passion to be an entrepreneur, to start and manage a successful business, to innovate new solutions, to bring that newness of a product into the market - to try the untried.

Hello Mungai,

I enjoyed reading your paper “The Challenges of housing development for the low income market” and as a producer of low income housing would like to continue your work in a way that may be financially beneficial to you.

We are about to engage on a free trade project that involves housing for goods in Kenya and I would like to see if there is an opportunity for you to get involved.

I think you would enjoy our companies and the discussions for we are bringing several technologies and systems to the table and I have an extensive banking background designing Internet banking , card transactions and much more including working with best of breed systems that incorporate micro finance.

Our projects can incorporate some or all of the following:

  1. Low income to high end housing (low income does not have to be ugly and we provide a lot of extras)
  2. Clean drinking water for groups of homes or complete complexes in a wide range of situations.
  3. Power systems that reduce the cost of power by up to 75% and also provide clean, 24/7 power with no blackouts.
  4. Power management with systems that allow for companies and organizations to pay for the power without having to worry that the funds are used for anything else.
  5. Internet, Phone and medical support ready housing that can use our different technologies to independently provide these services or hook up to existing ones.
  6. Advanced financial and non financial systems to support disbursement of funds directly from agencies or donations.
  7. Advanced video compression and programs for education, or any other media content over very low bandwidth communication lines.
  8. Advanced Job Board and applicant tracking systems to assist in connecting employers, job agencies and job seekers to overseas work.
  9. Processing of Immigration documents for Canada and employer studies to allow for temporary workers in Canada.
  10. Low cost remittance from Canada.
  11. Waste to compost to food systems.

I hope to communicate with you soon.

To get more details please contact me at greg.marsh@ymail.com or visit one of my blogs.

All the best.

Greg
