Yesterday went alright, I found out macaroni and cheese is more expensive than regular pasta so I went with the regular pasta last night.  I had cereal in the morning, which was a little more than the eggs I had the day before but saved me time.  I’ve been boiling quite a bit of water because I that’s pretty much the only thing I’ve been drinking with the exception of a small glass of milk with my dinner.  Today I went back to eating eggs and toast for breakfast.  I’ve had PB&J…

I have 12 free eggs from a friend’s family’s egg farm so that will be very helpful especially for breakfast.  I had 2 eggs this morning with unbuttered bread.  Not the worst breakfast I could have came up with.  No shower this morning and wearing one of the shirts I wore yesterday.  At work a co-worker gave me some popcorn, I didn't even have to ask much less beg so that was good because I usually eat some kind of snack at work.  Lunch was pretty plain, just peanut butter and jelly in…

Day 1 of the challenge wasn't as hard as I thought to it was going to be to stay under $2 but it was time consuming.  Measuring portions of food to keep track of the cost and just being aware of not spending money has been the biggest thing so far.  I usually eat a lot of pasta anyways so my diet hasn't changed too much just the amount of food and cutting out snacks.  I do drink a lot of water so I boiled as much water as my pot could boil at a time.  As far as the rest of the week, I usually… Continue
