- As a Global Development Studies major at SPU, I have had the opportunity to learn a lot about microfinance. I am currently enrolled in a microfinance class, and SPU hosted a great microfinance conference last spring. It is not often one stumbles upon such an effective vehicle to addressing the issues of poverty, and I would like to stay engaged with the community surrounding microfinance as much as possible.
