The Microfinance Forum

Hope Sings™ harnesses the power of song to improve the lives of
the poor – especially women - in Latin America. All net revenues
from the sale of our songs are donated to participating
microfinance institutions: Kiva, FINCA, ACCION and MicroPlace.
Hope Sings™ songs are inspired by the true stories of people whose
lives have been transformed in huge ways by the very small loans
known as micro-loans. These songs, in turn, inspire more
individuals to lend money, giving a hand-up – as opposed to a
hand-out – to those less fortunate. To find out more or donate go

Two-thirds of the world's population lives on less then two dollars a day. Experience how they are living and raise funds for microfinance by living on less then two dollars a day for a week.

Held at high school and university campuses nationwide, student teams receive a $27 loan from Gumball Capital and have a week to generate maximum revenue. At the week's end, money raised is collected and then loaned out by the Gumball Fund to promising entrepreneurs in third world countries. By participating in this entrepreneurial competition, students experience how their energy and creativity can lift like-minded people out of the chains of poverty.

It only takes one person, one action, to change one life. Often
people see poverty stricken nations as unable to do for themselves,
Microfinance has proven the opposite. We are all people speaking
different languages in different cultures but we are people. We
have the same dreams but not the same opportunities.
Economicism is dedicated to providing those opportunities, they
need a hand up not a hand out!
Help us spread the word buy selling 1000 t-shirts. Proceeds are
loaned directly to individuals to help change their life and that
of their family. With every T-shirt sold, $12.32 goes to small
business loans and other projects that fight global poverty.
It only takes one, it only takes you. http://www.economicism.com
