About the Organization
Grameen America is a microfinance nonprofit that provides financial services to lower-income women in New York City. Our mission is to help lower-income women lift themselves and their families out of poverty through entrepreneurship. Grameen America is an initiative of Grameen Trust, which is an affiliate of the Grameen Bank created by nobel laureate, Dr. Muhammad Yunus. Both Dr. Yunus and Grameen Bank won the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize for their efforts in alleviating poverty.

Job Description
Grameen America is looking for energetic and enthusiastic Center Manager trainees to expand our micro-credit program in Manhattan. Center Managers serve as Grameen America bank officers in the community and are key to running our operations. Each Center Manager Trainee will receive theoretical, practical and field training to implement Grameen America's group lending model.

Duties and Responsibilities
* Community organizing: Recruiting, training and motivating our target population in Manhattan to enroll in our microcredit program. Our mission is help poor families overcome poverty and we need zealous Center Managers who can reach the target population this program was designed to help. You can develop your own marketing and recruiting approach; * Training new borrowers: Each Center Manager trains and verifies that each new borrower meets all the requirements to enter our micro-credit program; * Relationship management: Center Managers must meet with clients on a weekly basis to conduct loan transactions, collect loan payments and savings deposits; * Maintaining the financial records for each borrower.

Qualifications
• Knowledge of MySQL or other SQL skills • Ease of using Excel pivot tables and charting capabilities • Ability to work independently in a flexible work environment • Experience working with Google Analytics If you have more advanced skills, we can put those to use as well :) Benefits • Casual work environment • Opportunity to join the team of the world's first online person-to-person lending platform • References gladly given for successful participants
