Harnessing Student Potential In Microfinance

Hi All,

Just wanted to start sharing some different ways that Campus Kiva Chapters can be structured.

At Chapman, the chapter is run by Diversity & Equity Initiatives under the Department of Student & Campus Life. This ensures that it will not die out with the founding leadership, but will always continue as a Chapman group. It is run by two co-directors and focuses mainly on fund raising, with hopes to host more education events.

Past events include:

1) Joint bake sales with SIFE (students in free enterprise)
2) Fashion show fundraiser during Global Entrepreneurship Week
3) Partnering with Greek community to have chapters raise money as community service
4) casual Residence Hall programs that teach about microfinance

For all that are interested in starting a chapter, I have attached the starter kit, as well as as several promotional flyers.
