Hey Sasha, Im getting to Nairobi on the 4th and leaving on the 16 and Im looking to travel/ volunteer and maybe go on a safari or go trekking. Let me know your thoughts. Also, I wouldnt mind sharing a room at the campsite for the conference so let me know if your cool with that
Hey, we (me and 3 other students) are currently trying to get places to sleep at Wildebeest, it's pretty booked up by this point. They have some dorms beds and camping space, so if you had a way to bring a 4-5 person tent then we could go really rough and camp. Alternatively, we can all pile into the dorm beds. Also, want to meet up and go see stuff during the day on the 4th and the 5th? I want to go see the Giraffe Center, and also go out to the National Park. Splitting a taxi out to the park between two people would make it pretty cheap and just seeing the Park could fill a day. The park has a baby rhinoceros and elephant raising center that is supposed to be one of the best in the world. Other things I was thinking of doing are seeing the Bomas (traditional dancing), wandering around the Ngong Hills, and maybe hitting the National Museum or Karen Blixen Museum. Any of those sound like something you would want to do? The national park and the bomas can be done together in one day, since they are close by...

Sasha, That sounds very very cool. Unfortunately I do not have any tent, but can you let me know when you book the dorms so I can do so too. Or do you want to try to book all together so we can negotiate a group rate? Did you figure out any volunteering activities/ microfinance projects we could do? Also, are you going to be staying after the conference because I have six days to explore!

Hey Jordan,
I don't think there will be any group rates, I would say book a dorm room and we will all hang out at Wildebeest (it's where most of the students are staying). I'm unfortunately not staying on after the conference, just flying in early. Would you still be interested in seeing some stuff on the 4th and 5th? I will let you know if I find any volunteer opportunities, I'm still searching but have some leads...
