I loved the several of the social business ideas I heard at the North Carolina Social Business and Microcredit Forum. I thought the one that dealt with the waste from hogs, which is a huge polluter in NC, to turn it into biofuel was a really good one. It took 2nd place. They also had an idea for toilets called the Dungaroo, which are porta-potties that then seal the waste to be taken away. Also I heard about a social business idea that came out of a TiE Competition that was solar panels on the tops of freighter trucks so that when the cars are in idle (often used in cold climates while truckers sleep), they are not wasting precious and polluting diesel. Those are some that come to mind...
